Last 3 movies I've seen.....

Kick-Ass is a definite must see movie. I cant believe I overlooked it. I skipped it in the theaters for some reason. I thought it was going to be cheasy and lame. When I watched this on my computer I was quite shocked at how explicit some of the scenes where. The action and story line where both amazing. I was drawn in right from the beggingKick-Ass is about a kid in NYC who loves comic books and try's to becomes a super hero himself. As the movie goes one he gets really beat up and I mean reallllly beat up, like close to dying. He beginning to fight with neighborhood bullies and small criminal then gets into some trouble when he starts messing with the mob. The best part of this movie is  you can relate to this character and put yourself into his shoes and feel the same way that he does about things throughout the movie. At some points it gets really intense with blood and killing but it does have alot of comic releaf to it. This is def. the best movie ive seen in 2010!!!

I Vant My Burrrd!

What a vacation it was up at Hampton Beach, NH. The weather wasn't all there but I'll take what I can get. There where many funny moments we all shared together in that large beach house of ours. So  I am going to share some here with you over the next few days.

#1. I Vant My Burrrd!

As we were heading out to go golfing one afternoon, a man walked out of his cottage. This man was white with a mean brownish gold tan covered in tattoos. This guy  was most definitely over 325 lbs  easily. He had a broken arm and the bandages he had on started from his wrist and went all the way up to his shoulder. On the guy's shoulder there was a bird just chilling there like it was just not a big deal. Random? Yes I would say so....We were laughing so hard.Like why would he do that? Couldn't the bird just fly away? Yes he might of clipped its wings but how would the bird know that if it has been living inside?

It was just too funny. Due to this incident the saying of the week became " I want my bird" in a Russian accent. The saying comes from the movie Iron Man 2. If you have seen it, you will know what we are talking about. If not go see it. Once I can get a hold of a clip I will share it.

Please just say it " I vant my burrd" with a Russian accent. LOL

Don't Drink and Redbox

After work yesterday I went over to my local grocery store to return 2 dvds at the red box kiosk. I was hoping for this to be a quick process even though we know that sometimes redbox can take for ever. When I got there, there was a man probably in his 40's trying to dispense his dvd selection.  I thought to my self, " Ok, this shouldn't take long, I can wait it out." Just as I said that, the man stats to teeter back and forth and started mumbling profanity at the box. I immediately knew he was clearly intoxicated due to over whelming stench of hard liquor in the air.

By now 5 minutes have gone by and I am still waiting behind this guy. It was too funny and frustrating at the same time because he had to keep restarting the whole procedure and kept mumbling " I don't know my f*cking email."  I wanted to help him out so much but yet wanted this drunk guy to keep getting frustrated with the machine.

Eventually after 10-15 min. another redbox enthusiast came to the rescue!  I say "enthusiast" because she had 3 dvds in her hand, which probably means she watched all three in a night or it maybe took her a week, I don't know. If you not familiar with Red box its a dollar per night per movie. To me, renting more than you know that you are going to watch in a night is just pointless. Anyways long story short the man received his movies and stumbled on his way out.

At least there's a happy ending to this story. As I was leaving the parking lot I spotted the drunk man going home or the bar, on foot. And just let me say drinking and redboxing do not mix.

"Get Him to the Greek"

www.gethimtothegreek.net

I watched this  movie last Sunday with some friends and we all came out of the theater  with a smile on our face. There were parts of the movie that had us cracking up and other parts had us scratching our heads at some of the decisions these characters where making.

In all this film was pretty good. It was fun to watch, the plot was simple and comedy was there most of the time. As for the movie itself, I will give it a 7-10. This movie is probably the funniest of the summer right behind " She's out of my League."

So I consider this movie mostly as a rental for now but if you have spare time on your hands and want to go see a movie, "Get him to the Greek" could be a solid view.

This is totally random but there was one  part of the movie that made us cry because we were laughing so much. After the first night Johna's character is partying in England, they show him passed out on the couch and slowly pan to the television in the background. Here they show some type of outdoor sport where a fat man with a mustache dressed in a all white, you could say old tennis outfit . The man has a ring in his hand and rolls  on the grass and just chases it with three other teammates who are all running really awkwardly.  I don't know why this was so funny but it had us literally dieing laughing for an extra 5 minutes. I will try and find that clip and post it here.

Mortal Kombat Rebirth

After all the disappointing movies this summer, here comes a Mortal Kombat Rebirth. I hope this gets picked up for a feature film. It has all the ingredients to be a perfect reboot for the series. Its a dark and new take at this , its destined to be one of the top most searched movies right now! Take a look and enjoy. I know I did.
